After our client received their initial architectural planning which came in well above their budget, they had to pivot. As a design and build company, we work closely with our clients to stay within budget. We had the ability to offer an architecturally designed home within their budget for the 87 sqm footprint, keeping the design, project management and construction inhouse for a seamless result for their investment.
The brief was to retain the frontage whilst subdividing the land, building an additional home with a separate street entrance.
The exterior consists of recycled red brick and timber cladding to compliment neighbouring properties. The ground floor houses a garage, a 2000 litre underground rainwater tank, storage space and a bedroom with ensuite. A Victorian ash staircase leads the way up to the first floor living area.
The first floor was intuitively designed for family friendly entertainment with an open plan living space complete with a designer kitchen, opening out to a wrap-around alfresco terrace. We integrated generous sliding doors, providing the freedom to section up or to expand the entire floor.
The top floor is a dedicated master suite with ensuite and private balcony for relaxation.
