ART DECO REVIVAL
Our client came to us with their majestic property, a 1930’s Art Deco home with the intent to extend upwards, without interfering with the home’s decorative original architecture.
The project had generous proportions with its ornamental features – the entry, ceilings, leadlight windows and grand fireplaces. The dark herringbone parquetry floors flow throughout the first floor with elegance. We installed Calcutta Nuvo countertops and polytec joinery in the kitchen for a level of quality and timelessness, worthy of the property’s rich history.
The addition of the second storey extended the home with four bedrooms, an ensuite, bathroom and rumpus room for modern family living. The facade of the extension was respectfully designed to mirror the original home with shape and material selections.
